Plants and Plant Products
Martinson’s Garden Works is known for our homegrown plants. Because our plants are grown on site, there are many benefits for you as a customer. We have direct control over plant varieties grown, which are available for sale. Unlike other companies that sell bedding plants, we have the opportunity to be creative with how we offer plants: sizes, types of containers and mixed plantings.
An advantage that Martinson’s Garden Works has over some of our competitors is the ability to refill when stock is low without being at the mercy of another grower or delivery truck. Because we are professional growers, we never stop advancing and learning, testing new varieties and attending industry events to stay informed of what is new and hot in the market. In addition, growing our plants on site gives us the advantage of choosing the soil mix, conditioner, and fertilizer which has tremendous impact on the overall health of plants. The plants are grown in an environment to produce a plant specifically for the Mississippi weather conditions, giving the plant the best possible advantage to survive and flourish.
Bedding Plants
Annuals, Perennials, Herbs, Vegetables, Bulbs
85% of our seasonal color offerings are home grown on-site by John Grant, a professional Mississippi grower with retail experience. Before joining our Martinson’s Garden Works family, he was a friend and area competitive grower with his own retail business.
Cody Flood is our bedding plant manager who has been on staff with us for several years. He works with our growers to stay on the cutting-edge of newly introduced plant varieties and diligently keeps fresh, innovative garden ideas flowing for your inspiration. A master at visual display, he and our bedding plant team are constantly creating areas for your visual enjoyment. We focus on having many multi-planted pots that are blooming and ready to take home and enjoy.
